- The Center for Scientific and Technological Equipment, Walailak University organized a training program on “Laboratory Safety” on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 09:00 – 16:00 hrs. at Environmental Health Laboratory 3, Scientific and Technological Equipment Building 8. This training was conducted for laboratory personnel and cleaning staff to enhance their knowledge, understanding, and practical skills in laboratory safety, ensuring proper and safe working practices in accordance with established standards.
- Key topics included:
- • Hazard identification and communication for chemicals, biological agents, and radiation.
- • Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- • Spill management and emergency response procedures.
- • Safe practices in equipment operation, cleaning, and laboratory waste management.
- The program also emphasized On-the-Job Training (OJT) aligned with ESPReL standards, aiming to strengthen safety skills and foster a sustainable safety culture within the organization.
