The Center for Scientific and Technological Equipment, Walailak University, Organizes a Workshop to Enhance Spectrophotometer Operation Skills on 5 May 2026.
- The Center for Scientific and Technological Equipment, Walailak University, in collaboration with Mettler Toledo (Thailand) Limited, organized a practical training workshop on “Understanding the Operation of UV-Vis Spectrophotometers” on Tuesday, 5 May 2026, at Meeting Room 1, Scientific and Technological Equipment Building 5, Walailak University.
- The training aimed to enhance participants’ knowledge, understanding, and practical skills in the use of scientific analytical instruments, particularly spectrophotometers, for personnel, researchers, and other interested participants. The workshop focused on enabling participants to operate the instruments correctly and efficiently while achieving accurate and reliable analytical results.
- The activity featured expert trainers from Mettler Toledo (Thailand) Limited, who provided comprehensive knowledge through both theoretical and practical sessions. The training covered the fundamental principles of spectrophotometric analysis, instrument care and maintenance, and the operation of the UV5 Bio and Easy UV models.
- Participants also took part in hands-on workshop sessions covering key analytical functions, including Fixed Wavelength, Quant, Scanning, and Kinetics, as well as procedures for evaluating instrument performance.
- The training atmosphere was both intensive and friendly, providing participants with opportunities to gain hands-on experience under the close supervision and guidance of the expert trainers. This practical approach enabled participants to develop a clear understanding of the proper operating procedures and apply their knowledge effectively to laboratory analytical work.
- This training represents another important initiative in strengthening the scientific and technological capabilities of university personnel and its network. The knowledge and skills gained from the training will contribute to the continuous enhancement of teaching and learning, research, and academic services, ultimately supporting higher-quality and more effective operations in the future.
